Terms of Use

By accessing or using the RiskScope platform, website, or any reports generated by RiskScope, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all users including individual business owners, insurance brokers, underwriters, and enterprise clients.

RiskScope provides a digital SME risk assessment platform that generates risk summary reports and full insurer-ready risk assessment reports based on information provided by the user. Our services include: • The SME Digital Risk Assessment questionnaire • Free risk summary PDF reports • Full insurer-ready paid PDF reports (R899 per report) • Enterprise risk assessment accounts for brokers and insurers • Callback and enquiry services

RiskScope reports are based solely on information and photographs provided by the user at the time of submission. Our reports: • Do NOT constitute a statutory building inspection, engineering survey, or fire safety inspection • Do NOT constitute certification of any kind • Do NOT guarantee insurability or specific policy terms • Are NOT a substitute for a physical risk survey by a qualified risk surveyor • Are advisory in nature; final underwriting decisions remain subject to insurer discretion RiskScope and its representatives accept no liability for underwriting decisions, claims outcomes, or business decisions made on the basis of our reports.

RiskScope (Pty) Ltd is NOT a registered Financial Services Provider (FSP) under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (FAIS Act). Nothing on the RiskScope platform, and nothing contained in any report generated by RiskScope, constitutes: • Financial advice as defined under the FAIS Act • A recommendation to obtain, maintain, cancel, or alter any insurance policy • A recommendation to accept or decline any insurance risk • An opinion on the adequacy of any existing insurance cover RiskScope reports are risk data tools intended to assist licensed insurance professionals in their own independent underwriting and advisory processes. All financial and insurance advice must be obtained from a licensed FSP or registered broker. Final underwriting decisions, policy terms, and coverage determinations are the sole responsibility of the licensed insurer or broker and are not influenced or determined by RiskScope.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted through the RiskScope assessment form is accurate, complete, and truthful to the best of your knowledge. By submitting the form, you confirm that the information and images provided are accurate. Submitting false, misleading, or incomplete information may: • Result in an inaccurate risk report • Constitute a material misrepresentation to your insurer • Affect the validity of your insurance policy RiskScope bears no liability for reports generated on the basis of inaccurate user-submitted information.

Full insurer-ready reports are priced at R899 per report (pay-per-report), or at R674 per report through upfront Enterprise credit packs (Starter, Growth, or Scale tiers; a 25% saving on the pay-per-report rate). Payments are processed by PayFast. By proceeding with payment, you agree to PayFast's terms and conditions. All sales are final, reports are generated and delivered immediately upon payment confirmation and are non-refundable once generated. Enterprise credit packs are paid upfront and do not expire. Each report generated against a pack is deducted from the remaining credit balance. There is no monthly invoicing or recurring billing for Enterprise accounts.

All content on the RiskScope platform, including but not limited to the website design, report templates, scoring methodology, compliance wording, and software, is the intellectual property of RiskScope (Pty) Ltd. Your generated reports are licensed for your use only and may be shared with your insurer or broker for underwriting purposes. Reports may not be: • Resold or distributed commercially • Modified or altered and presented as original • Used to misrepresent the risk profile of a business to any party

Reports generated by RiskScope are prepared for the exclusive use of the named business. Reports contain confidential risk information and should be treated accordingly. RiskScope treats all user data and submission information as confidential. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, RiskScope shall not be liable for: • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of our platform or reports • Any loss arising from reliance on report findings for underwriting, claims, or business decisions • Any inaccuracies in reports caused by incomplete or incorrect user-submitted information • Any interruption, delay, or unavailability of the platform • Any third-party service providers used to operate the platform Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific report in dispute.

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of RiskScope shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

RiskScope reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
